Fred A. Frederick is a 62 year old
retired Air/Security Policeman from the U.S.A.F with over 22 years active
service. He most recently retired form Civil Service of 18 years with the
U.S. Navy as a Master-At-Arms Instructor. Fred couldn't find exactly what he
wanted at any of the dealerships so he ordered his Mustang from the Southway
Ford Dealership in the late summer of 2005. Fred's mustang is a 2006 GT,
equipped with the 4.6 Liter V-8 and Automatic Transmission (he says he's too
lazy to shift the standard). It is solid black with charcoal & black cloth
(running pony) seats. He had the windows tinted by the dealership before
delivery. He installed rear side window scoops almost immediately . It
stayed that way for almost a year before he joined the SAMC where he picked
as many brains as possible to help him make up his mind on upgrading his
exhaust system. After talking to Larry Pate at Jordan Ford, he decided on
the Ford Racing Exhaust system. Fred plans to add the Ford Cold Air system
under the hood before the end of May, if not sooner. He also plans to paint
his factory wheels as "gloss black" as possible to match the color of his
"Baby". Other additions, as soon as the money is available: Stabilizer Bars,
wider tires while staying with the 17" wheels, a two-tone cloth seat
replacement (not sure what colors yet, maybe red & black). Fred also got
lucky when he checked with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and found
out that the personal plates he wanted were available. A fan of WWII
aircraft, he got the idea that the P-51 Fighter, built by North American
Aircraft's nicknamed the "Mustang" was a good idea. He ordered them and was
thrilled and surprised to learn he got the plates, "P-51"
