2009 Ford Mustang 45th Anniversary Logo

This week, Ford has increased the fuel to the fire for those seeking out information on the 2009 Ford Mustang.  With the 45th Anniversary editions to hit lots very soon, we are just as excited as the rest to see the new badge unveiled for mass consumption.  This horseshoe pony logo will adorn the front fenders on most of the 2009 Mustangs, with exception of some special editions, such as Shelbys, the Bullitt, and the Warriors in Pink.

This 45th Anniversary Ford Mustang badge is the first since the 20th Anniversary badge to utilize the horseshoe as part of the artwork.  The designers on Team Mustang at Ford have come up with a much more modern and chic piece, aimed to capitalize upon the continued success of the late model platform and the car’s overall history.

Now the only question remaining is whether or not Ford is going to release some official Special Edition Ford Mustangs in lieu of the 45th Anniversary, just as we saw in 1984 and 1999.  Maybe a special paint scheme?  Some regal stripes perhaps?  We’ll just have to see.   2009 isn’t expected to bring about many watershed changes for the S197 Ford Mustang, as the most novel of changes will be the release of the refreshed 2010 Ford Mustang, set to debut late Spring / early Summer 2009.   For more news and information on the 2009 Ford Mustang the 2010 Ford Mustang, keep your eyes here, as we will keep you posted on the true enthusiast happenings!
